Obituary for Marilyn Rienhardt (Rosburg)

Marilyn Rienhardt (Rosburg)
Marilyn (Rosburg) Rienhardt, daughter of Harley and Norma (Herum) Rosburg, was born November 7, 1950 in Estherville, Iowa. She passed peacefully on Friday, November 3, 2017 at her home near Estherville, Iowa at the age of 66.

Marilyn grew up with six siblings in rural Estherville. She received her education in Estherville schools, graduating from Estherville High School in 1968.

On November 20, 1971 she was united in marriage to Jerry Rienhardt at Huntington Methodist Church. The couple made their home on a farm near Estherville. Marilyn was employed with Emmet County State Bank and Estherville Sand & Gravel with a break in between to raise their three children.

Marilyn enjoyed spending her time doing word games and crossword puzzles; many times being the proud winner of the Super Duper Genius of the Day award on the radio. She also enjoyed collecting Red Wing pottery, caring for plants, tending to her garden, reading mystery novels, and spending time on her deck. Most importantly, Marilyn treasured being with her family – especially babies.

Left to cherish Marilyn's memory are her husband, Jerry of Estherville; children, Marcia Rienhardt and her husband, Todd Pease of Belle Plaine, Minnesota; Shelley Rienhardt Cook and her husband, Aaron of Clive, Iowa; Marcus Rienhardt and his wife, Sara of Janesville, Minnesota; and grandchildren, Addie, Parker, Max and Garrett.
