Dennis "Denny" Theesfield

Dennis Theesfield, the son of Lester and Berneta (Anvick) Theesfield, was born July 25, 1945, in Fenton, Iowa. He passed away on Veteran's Day, Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Mayo Health System - Fairmont, Minnesota, at the age of 72.

He graduated from Armstrong High School. He also graduated from Estherville Junior College. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam. After his honorable discharge from military service he returned home.

On August 2, 1975, Denny was united in marriage to Sharon Andrews at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple made their home in the Armstrong area where he was employed at Armstrong Hardware. Even though Denny was confined to a wheelchair, he was able to fulfill his love for farming for 24 years from his chair. Denny was very active in multiple Armstrong activities.

Denny was an active member of Nazareth Lutheran Church in Armstrong, Armstrong VFW Post and numerous other veteran's groups and patriotic organizations.

Left to cherish Denny's memory are his wife of 42 years, Sharon of Armstrong; special son, Randy (Jeannine) Weisbrod of Georgetown, Texas; sisters, Jan (Bill) Nielsen of Fairmont, Judy (Jack) Hirt of Maple Grove, Minnesota; sister-in-law, Bernice Gorham of Algona, Iowa and brother-in-law, Ronald Andrews of Butte, Montana.

Denny has been preceded in death by his parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Norman and Lois Andrews; sister and brother-in-law, Howard and Sandra Bruhn; brothers andsisters-in-law, Lloyd and Bev Andrews; DonaBelle and Harold Higgins; Norma and husband Linus Smith and brother-in-law, George Gorham.
