The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of David Brown can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Rick juhl
Condolence: Shirley and family, very sorry to hear of Mr. Browns passing. He was my track coach at Lincoln Central during my freshman year, as well as history teacher. He was a positive influence on my life, and will cherish memories of my favorite teacher and coach.

Condolence: My sincere condolences to Shirley and the entire Brown family. I enjoyed "Mr. Brown" in the classroom and "CB" on the athletic fields. He was a great mentor - always challenging you to work hard and to do your best. I can still remember his gentle - and sometimes not so gentle- prodding. Mr. Brown was instrumental in starting the Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter here in Spencer - a legacy that influenced several generations of Spencer youth. I certainly feel a sense of loss from his passing. May he rest in peace.

Condolence: My sympathies to you all for your loss. Mr. Brown "came into my life" in jr. high about 1971. He was my teacher and coach in two sports. Just about when I thought I was done with him and he with me, he moved to the high school!! Another class and two more sports!! In all sincerity, he and I really hit it off. He wasn't easy on me but I tried hard in sports and did much better in the classroom. My family lived on 6th ave and W. 11th St, he was always running by the house. I tried running with him a couple times but he was in too good of shape! Without a doubt, one of my top five teachers.

Condolence: I have no words to describe how I feel right now. Coach Brown meant so many things to so many people and the impact he had on my life is immeasurable. In his own unique way, he taught me persistence and hard work will lend to success in this life and for that, I am forever grateful.

Find peace knowing you, and so many others, were lucky enough to have had in in our lives.

Luke
