Obituary for Marjorie Jensen

Marjorie Evelyn Twait, daughter of Lavina (Olson) and Gust Twait, was born on May 20, 1927 near Cylinder, Iowa and departed this life on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Windsor Manor in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 90.

Marjorie received her education in the Cylinder School and attended Estherville Junior College for a year.

She was united in marriage to Truman Naig. He passed away November 13, 1963. Marjorie married Dale Jensen on July 21, 1968 and they enjoyed 49 years together.

In addition to being a homemaker, Marjorie worked for six years as the secretary at the Ringsted Grade School.

Marjorie was a former member of St John’s Lutheran Church in Depew where she was involved in the ladies’ groups. She was currently a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Estherville. She was also a member of Sons of Norway and Danish American Fellowship.

Marjorie is survived by her husband, Dale; children, Michael (Betty) Naig of Emmetsburg, Iowa; Gloria (Dr. James) Wiener of Cornville, Arizona; Susan (Darwin) Wilson of Ringsted, Iowa; Debra (Howard) Gaster of Brooklyn, Iowa; grandchildren, Lisa Naig, Chris Naig, Michelle Theesfeld, Erica Wiener-Crowley, Jesse Wiener, Traci Brandenburg, Ryan Wilson, Dina Hasty, Derek Gaster and 24 great-grandchildren.

Marjorie has been preceded in death by her first husband, Truman; parents; grandsons, Scott Naig and Tim Naig; sisters, Ethel Osborn, Marquerite Twait, Anna Bleckwenn, Emma Larson; brothers, LeRoy, Donald, Gaylord, Bernard, George, Emmet and Oliver.
