Obituary for Donald Anderson

Donald  Anderson
Donald Roy Anderson, son of Larry and Lois (Nelson) Anderson was born on February 15, 1959 in Mainard, Massachusetts. At a young age, he moved with his family to Armstrong, Iowa, where he grew up. Following his education Don spent a short time in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, but returned to Armstrong to live. Upon his father’s passing he moved to Swea City. On September 8, 2018, at the age of 59 years, he passed away at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong.
Don was a woodsman throughout his life, excelling at jobs such as an iron cutter, welder, mechanic, and tiler. He enjoyed spending time with his nieces, nephews, and family. He was always willing to assist anyone who needed a helping hand on a project. He was usually up for having a good time. Don was an avid reader, he liked to read a variety of things to keep his mind sharp. In the recent years, he enjoyed an afternoon on the mower or working on his camper, getting it ready to go camping.
Don is survived by his mother Lois Anderson; his siblings: Christine (Byron) Mortenson, Arnie (Antoinette) Anderson, Pamela Anderson, Mike Anderson, Stephen (Carolyn) Anderson and Mark (Missy) Anderson and many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Don was preceded in death by his father Larry Anderson, nephew Steven Anderson, brother-in-law Kirby Hersleff, and sister-in-law Staci Anderson.
