Obituary for Lois Ann Jensen (LeClair)

Lois Ann (LeClair) Jensen, daughter of Benjamin and Rose (Klosterman) LeClair, was born on December 30, 1928 in Plankington, South Dakota. She graduated from Plankington High School. On Saturday, September 22, 2018 she passed away at the Ruthven Care Center at the age of 89 years.
Lois was united in marriage to Jack Jensen on July 4, 1951 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Estherville. The couple made their home in Estherville. Lois stayed home to raise her children and worked at the family Restaurant until they were in school. She then worked at Wadco for numerous years and later was a cook at Holy Family Hospital and the VFW. Jack passed away on December 30, 1994.
Lois was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Catholic Daughters and Rosary Society. She was also active in the VFW Auxiliary. Lois enjoyed volunteering around the area to help many causes including, Meals on Wheels, VFW and the Hospital.
Lois is survived by her children Ben (Linda) Jensen of Sioux City, IA, Dan Jensen of Jackson, MN, Mike Jensen of Ankeny, IA, Tom (Aide) Jensen of Estherville, Tim (Nancy) Jensen of Spirit Lake, IA, RoseAnn Jensen of Loveland, CO; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Lois is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Bill Jensen; grandson, Joshua; granddaughter, Nicole; four brothers Pete, Robert, Dean and Eugene; and one sister Virginia LeClair.
