Obituary for Eugene Allen Paulson

Eugene Allen  Paulson
Eugene A. Paulson was born on January 23, 1940 in Estherville, Iowa to Kearney and Florence (Engholm) Paulson. He attended Gruver High School and later did one year of college at School of Business in Minneapolis. Gene passed away on September 25, 2018 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville, at the age of 78.
Gene served in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. He was united in marriage to Nancy Steele on September 13, 1965 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Gene was employed as a handyman for many local people.
Gene was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, South of Gruver. He was also a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, coffee at Hardee's, videoing his grandchildren, and collecting rocks.
Gene is survived by his daughter Raejean (Mike) Kinzler of Moorhead, MN, his sons: Pete (Sarah) Paulson of Buffalo Center, IA and John (Vickie Willemssen) Paulson of Milford, IA. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Ryan Kinzler, Clay Paulson, Alex Paulson, Noah Paulson, Brenna Paulson, and Alexandra Willemssen; and sister-in-law Sandra Tindall of Sioux Falls, S.D.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy, and his brother Gary Paulson.
