Obituary for Ruth Ann Rauhauser (Kinnetz)

Ruth Ann (Kinnetz) Rauhauser, the daughter of Leo and Viola (Schutt) Kinnetz, was born April 18, 1935, in the Osgood area and departed this life on Saturday, November 3, 2018, at North Iowa Hospice in Mason City, Iowa, at the age of 83.

She received her education at the Emmetsburg, Iowa, school.

On June 14, 1953, she was united in marriage to Robert Rauhauser in Emmetsburg. Following their marriage, the couple lived in Emmetsburg. In 1956, they moved to Lockport, Illinois, where she worked at Illinois Bell Telephone Company for 12 years. In 1971, they moved to Graettinger. She worked at Lakeside Lutheran Home for 20 years in Emmetsburg. Ruth also worked at various jobs throughout the years including Pioneer Seed, Berkley’s, Tangney Hotel and a few cafes. Ruth enjoyed gardening, reading and sewing. Bob died in 2002.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church and the women’s group.

Ruth is survived by two sons, Neal Rauhauser and David Rauhauser; one grandson, Armand Rauhauser; and one granddaughter, Madeleine Rauhauser and several nieces and nephews.

She has been preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; daughter-in-law, Kim Rauhauser; five brothers, Leo, Leonard, Derwood, Ronald and Elmer and four sisters, Leona Meyer, Eleanor Meyer, Darlene Hersom and Eileen Flint.
